What are SMART Numbers?
Spam is everywhere today. As a consumer, you’re likely getting spam messages often if not daily, and as a legitimate business that is dialing a lot of phone numbers every day there is a high probability that your number has been marked as spam at some point. The result of being marked as spam is that your connection rates are decreasing. This is bad news. Prospecting is a numbers game and you want to be able to have as many conversations as possible.
We take your business information, and details on why you’re calling and we register that information proactively with the phone carriers, so when someone mistakenly marks your phone number as spam the carriers will check and see that you’re a legitimate business making genuine calls and not attempting to defraud anyone or do anything malicious. Your SMART number is used when you are dialing your leads with one of the WAVV Dialers.
In the Phone Numbers settings page of the Dialer, you will find a call forwarding number set for your WAVV number. This is the personal verified number that inbound calls will be directed to.
Yes. Continuing to dial while your number is being remediated won't hurt the process, and typically when a spam flag is detected it is only for a single carrier and all other carriers will still benefit from high call connection rates.
No, not at this time. We are currently limiting this service to a single WAVV number, but we have plans to allow this in the future.
The registration process is designed to take a phone number and provide it with credibility and protect it against spam flags. This is fairly common to see initial flags being detected that will get appealed and removed as your number is established as a legitimate business number.
This can mean one of two things. One, you've just recently signed up for Spam Protection and your number is still being registered with the phone carriers. Or two, a spam flag has been detected on your number and we have begun the remediation process to have it removed for you.
